College/Young Adult Ministry

WELCOME TO the Fold

Where Jesus is the Door, welcoming in all who would come to him, and the Good Shepherd, caring for those who are already his own. The Fold exists for ages 18-30 to establish young adults as biblically-defined church men and women in the body of Christ at SHBC by evangelizing the lost with the gospel, edifying believers to maturity in Christ, and equipping young adults to serve the Lord through the local church.

Vision

We are a group transformed by the grace of God through the Good News of Jesus Christ, being discipled and discipling in the local church, and boldly and compassionately pleading with lost souls in the Valley to be reconciled to God as ambassadors of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17; Titus 2:11; 3:5; Matthew 28:19-20; Colossians 1:28; 2 Timothy 2:2; 2 Corinthians 5:20).

Mission

We strive to create a culture of spiritual multiplication, by which we present every young man and woman as mature in Christ and entrust them to do the same (Colossians 1:28; 2 Timothy 2:2).

Evangelizing
the lost

We herald Christ to unbelievers through the proclamation of the gospel in the Scriptures and campus outreach efforts (Romans 10:14-17; 2 Corinthians 5:18-20).

edifying
the saints

We spur on believers to love and good works through sound teaching on the Person and Work of Christ and discipleship under Him, ultimately pointing young adults to greater commitment to Christ in the life of the church (Colossians 1:28; Hebrews 10:24).

equipping
young adults

We encourage and emphasize membership to and service in the local church. The goal of The Fold is to disciple church members and equip them for a life of service to the Lord and his church (Romans 12:3-8).

Sunday Worship

Worship with our church family during our Sunday morning services at 9:00am or 10:45am.

Fold Nights

We gather weekly on Thursday nights to worship through music, prayer, Bible study, small groups, and fellowship. The purpose of these nights is to connect young adults to Shepherd’s House and equip them to make disciples.
